Emily brings over 20 years’ experience in the health care industry, with a focus on delivering scaled, high-quality and market-differentiating services to payer partners. Emily has been with Evolent for eight years and previously served as Evolent’s chief operating officer (COO). She also served as president and COO of the Evolent Administrative Services team. Before that, she led Evolent’s Advisory Services team, working closely with provider organizations to define their value-based strategy as well as designing and building the capabilities required to successfully manage value-based contracts.

 

Prior to joining Evolent, Emily was vice president of provider consulting at Optum, working closely with health systems in revenue-cycle strategy and process design, inclusive of clinical documentation improvement. Emily has deep experience working closely with Medicare Advantage health plans across a wide range of areas, such as strategy and design, developing and contracting with provider networks, and building CMS-compliant programs and operations. She holds a B.B.A. in economics and management from University of Iowa and completed the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
