Dan McCarthy serves as president of Evolent and oversees growth, product, strategy, operations, clinical and technology for the enterprise. Dan joined Evolent a decade ago and has served in various leadership roles over the years, most recently holding P&L accountability for the specialty care portfolio since 2018. Prior to joining Evolent, Dan worked in the health care practice at McKinsey & Company, where he consulted to payers and providers on a range of topics related to value-based care. 

Earlier in his career, Dan served as a high school math teacher and worked in financial services. Dan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Goldsmith Fellow, and received a B.A. from Georgetown University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude.
